Union Chapel Chancel Choir

Union Chapel is truly blessed with musicians.  Not only do we have professional musicians in our midst, but people from many walks of life who contribute to Union Chapel's music program because they love to sing and/or play instruments.  The chancel choir meets weekly on Wednesday evenings to prepare music primarily for the 11:00 a.m. worship service.  Many types of music are learned and shared.  On alternate years the chancel choir performs an Easter or Christmas cantata.  Many times we utilize the dramatic talents of our congregation to help with these presentations.  This year the chancel choir will present a Christmas cantata on December 11^th at 11:00 a.m.  Our three Christmas Eve services at 5, 7 and 11 p.m. will offer a variety of musical presentations, including our children, choirs, and soloists.

 We are currently forming a new group to help lead the worship service at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings.  The service will have a musical focus of gospel music, centering on some of our livelier, older hymns.

 If you have a desire to join in singing or playing praises to our Lord and Savior, please come join us.  While preparing our music, we share a wonderful time of fellowship and prayer.  Besides rehearsing, we also get together socially to enjoy each others' company.  God does not ask for perfection.  He asks for a soul led by commitment and a giving heart.
